HOLY WORLDLINESS—What do salt and light do anyway?
What's the point of being a light in a lighted room when there is so much darkness outside?
July 25
John 9:5 Who’s the light now?
Matthew 5:13-16 What do salt and light do, anyway?
What does the passage emphasize about salt? Taste. So, what does it mean to have your life taste like Jesus?
What does the passage emphasize about light? It reveals. So, what does it mean to have your good works reveal God’s glory?
As you think about these questions, move past the easy church answers and the lofty “holy” answers, and be basic.
What does it mean to taste like Jesus and shine God’s glory
...with the people in your life?
...using your skills and talents?
...in the places you go?
...in your schedule?
...in fulfilling your motivations?
WHAT’S COMING
August 1
This is where we’ve been; where do we go next?

THE WEEKLY CHALLENGE
This week’s challenge is to start being salt and light in your ‘zones’
What are the zones?
Who? People in your life?
What? Skills, hobbies, talents.
Where? Places you go
When? In your own schedule
Why? You motivations and values
Spend some time this week thinking through the six zones. Where can you be salt and light in these zones?
Bring your story next Sunday.
