WHAT MATURITY IS NOT:
- Maturity is not age.
- Maturity is not appearance.
- Maturity is not achievement.
- Maturity is not education.
1. A Mature Person Is Positive Under Pressure (1:2-4).
2. A Mature Person Is Sensitive To People (2:8). Matthew 25:34-37, 40
3. A Mature Person Has Mastered His Mouth (3:2). Ephesians 4:29
4. A Mature Person Is A Peacemaker Not A Troublemaker (4:1).
Causes of conflict:
- selfishness (4:3) Proverbs 13:10
- judging others (4:11-12)
Why not judge others:
- You are not God.
- Only God has all the facts.
- You don't know the motives.
5. A Mature Person Is Patient And Prayerful (5:7, 16).
