The Challenge: within the next five months go through Jesus: Who is he? (or another bible study) with some friends who do not regularly attend church. If you love God and you love others then you will go make Jesus-followers; it's your job. If you are not sure about loving God, then we who are sure will challenge you to love him and follow him; that is our job.

FOUR "FACTS OF LIFE" YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. Problems Are Inevitable, 1:2; John 16:33; 1 Peter 4:12
"... whenever you face trials ..."
2. Problems Are Unpredictable
"... whenever you face trials ..."
3. Problems Are Many And Varied
"... trials of many kinds ..."
4. Problems Are Purposeful Romans 8:28,29
"Realize that they come ... to produce in you..." v.3 (Phillips Paraphrase)

• Problems can purify your faith: "You know that the testing of your faith..."
• Problems can fortify your patience: "... the testing ... develops perseverance..."
• Problems can sanctify your character: "so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything!"

HOW TO HANDLE YOUR PROBLEMS
1. Rejoice: "Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials..." (vs. 1) 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Psalm 34:1
2. Request: "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." (vs. 5)
3. Relax: "But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt ..." (vs.6) Philippians 4:6,7
