GOING DEEPER--A People of the Table

Tuesday Gathering: November: A People of the Table
The Doctrine of the Trinity is confusing. How can God be one God and Three persons? Plus, even if we can get a hold on the idea of the Trinity, what does it have to do with following Jesus day after day? Starting in November, the Tuesday Gathering will be considering the amazing truth about relationship, following Jesus, and theology.
For those wanting to go deeper:

SUNDAY COLLEGIUM--What about that "thinking question"?

November 26, the Collegium discussed the "Thinking Question" (see above) and Andrew B's suggestion for what should happen "in here":

1. God is leading the mission. He is leading us on the mission by having put His Spirit in us. (I always find that amazing.) So we need to know how to be led by the Spirit. In here we can exercise experiencing that leading so out there we are more sure of how to follow.

2. Actually should be the first point, the mission is driven by love. We are going on the mission driven by love and bringing love. Inside we can practise that too, so we actually do it better outside.
The bottom line--which is still being clarified via email--focused on how to design the 9:15 am Sunday Worship Gathering to better include these two intentions: to practice following the Spirit and loving one another.

------------------

We are on a journey as fellow travelers.
Some of us have been journeying a long time and know more.
Others are new to the journey and have fresh eyes and fresh wonder.
Yet we are fellow travelers.
All have a voice.

So,

Live intentionally.
Look for the fingerprints of God.
Wonder.
Think.
Ask questions.

Bring your gathered bits to the Sunday Collegium, 11 AM in the college room.

What is the Now from this?
  • The NOW is a call for us to live lives that reflect God’s character and values. 2 Peter 3:11,14
